Greetings -
As some of you know, I am in love with my Betty even though she died three time, and has cost many many $$$ to maintain and keep happy. My wife still believes that Betty is less costly and more informative then a real mistress - so I am safe!
I now own an iPAQ 4355 for work and am interested in your opinions about the BEST Bluetooth GPS for this unit here in the US.
I would also like it if you could caompare/contrast the GPS to my Betty in terms of features and functions.
I am considering giving Betty to my wife but I do love her and am concerned about their relationship......
The first time Betty malfunctioned or took her to the wrong location---she would be roadkill. :D :D :D
Thanks

see www.gpspassion.com. There are many. That you be in the US doesn't matter.
Even with a bluetooth GPS, it's a good idea to have one with an external antenna connector and something like the Gilsson on the rood for driving in those urban canyons.

Of course you're not a traitor - it's your work place that is handicapped.

Don't worry-- Betty is forgiving--but if it should come to a choice between the three of them--New GPS, Wife or Betty,
Keep Betty!

Wouldn't this work?
Garmin CF Que for Pocket PC (http://www.garmin.com/products/cfQue/)
At least you'd know the software and database and the learning curve would probably be the "smallest" as well.

"No, I am not a traitor!!! - Just curious... "
I had a hard time not taking the subject title personally...:D
My only recommendation is that it would be to your advantage, whichever way you go, to be on the same type of system with both units. Transferring addresses (waypoints), being familiar with the way everything functions so you could both use the other one in a pinch and backing up data to each other. This goes double for any 3rd party software you may add.

Seeing that the iQue 3600 forum is always one of the busiest - I'm looking at the CF Que as well - looks like a great product for those on the Pocket PC Platform. I don't have it yet, so can't comment on it, but after seeing the statistics about Garmin (globally sell 10 to 1 against all the competitors combined(Including Magellan and Navman) and have pretty good product and customer service, etc.
I saw this link a few days ago and it worked for me as well - http://www.garmin.com/products/cfQue/
If it doesn't work for you - check out their main site at http://www.garmin.com and drill down to Products / Mobile Products - the CF Que 1620.
If you still can't see it - they do have a note on the page that says "US Domestic Market Only" - don't know if that's for the price or the product.

Reading through the manual for the CF Que....I'm not certain that the interface is so similar to the 3600 on the Pocket PC's. It doesn't appear that you can save the waypoints in a similar manner as the iQue - that is within the address book. It may be you have to use an external storage outside of the PPC's address or contacts feature. And this would not surprise me because of the tendency and requirement of MicroGiant to control their code and hardware.
HB - re the Navman software and units - the interface would obviously be different and there are probably features on both platforms that are "appealing" over the other.
But I agree with CC, I think you'd be better off with a minimal learning curve and feature set by sticking with a Garmin unit of some type.

Does anyone know any new developments for this kind of device?
http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/gpsmart.php
From the review:
"Those of you out there that are used to traditional handheld GPS receivers will find track recording, waypoints, routing, and navigation all built in to this device. Having said that the features are very basic and there is no interface allowing the exchange of information between the GPS and either a PDA or PC, other than positional data."
Except for the abovementioned limititation I would buy such a device (because bringing the iQue on hiking or biking trips isn't that practical). Pretty shortsighted on the part of the designers.
