Does anyone know of any anti-virus software that will scan an attached device??
I have been receiving a tremendous amount of junk email containing worms, i.e. W32/Bagle-AA and the like. I noticed that my network anti-virus, www.sophos.com, would catch the virus on sync-type connections....because activesync would load the email into its system and something would occur that would tell the anti-virus software on the pc that it will not allow access...the location of the file is in the activesync folder on the pc...and then when you go to it to look at it and remove it, it isn't there.
Oh well, too long winded...did anyone understand what I said?
Tip, I will no longer activesync first thing. I will first run outlook on the pc to download the emails and then remove the "infected or suspicious" email. After that is performed, I will then cradle the 4155 to perform the activesync.
Hope it helps and I hope someone can let me know if there is a way to scan the iPAQ for viruses.
