Memory Card Hiccups

I am just a tad confused. I purchased a 256 mb sd card for my T/E and it works alright. It takes forever to copy from PC to card. So I figured fine, I'll use the card reader. Copies much faster but when I plug the card back in the Palm asks to reformat the card and says its not recognized. Ok.. I thought maybe it was an incompatability with the reader.. I reformated and copied a photo to the card directly from the photo program on the palm. Confirmed that the photo is there. Removed the card and re-inserted it. The Palm asks if it can reformat the card as it doen't recognize it. Is there a patch for this? Or is this a new one?

It took a little digging but I found a patch to allow the E to recognize the larger card. Even though it saw and formated it, it didn't know how to handle it once removed and reinserted. Alas its still slow to download but at least now I can use my card reader and transfer files much quicker.
The download from Palm was to allow E's to recognize cards larger than 128. Didn't figure I needed it since it did format and copied files..
