zaurus 5800 and compuserve

Just got a 5800-have a 5000. I cannot get on with compuserve.
Is there anything else(hardware, software) I need? I have a modem and created a username and password with CS. I dial
CS' no. but am unable to get through. Help in trying to get
connected to get email.

Did you create a CS 2000 account, or a CS "Classic" account? The Zaurus only functions with a CS Classic account user name and password. The CS2000 accounts are really AOL user accounts under another name, and are entirely different. If you used a CD to create a CS2000 account, the Classic account software should also be on that CD but in a subdirectory you will need to search to find. If you already have a CS2000 account, another option is to call Customer Service and have them cancel that account and set up a Classic account instead. (Or keep the CS2000 account if you want 2 separate accounts, I suppose). They may ask you some odd questions, like "Are you SURE you want the Classic account?" and "WHY would you want a Classic account?" but if you persist they will create one for you. Also keep in mind, the dial-up numbers are totally different for the 2 types of accounts. You can't connect to a CS2000 access number with a Classic account.
If you tried and failed to connect with a Classic account, the problem may be in your modem settings or some other minor item. Post again!
