Questions about Rom update

I just bought my 3835 3 weeks ago and while I was on HP's site I noticed that there was a Rom update dated July 29,2002. Do I need to do this update ? Is there anyway to tell if my 3835 is current? Thanks in advance.

Open your "Start Menu". Tap "Settings", "System" tab, the "Asset Viewer" applet. This brings up a tree for info about your iPAQ. You will want to tap the plus next to "Version", under this is "ROM Version". Compare that version against the one at the top of the page for EUU2 (End User Update 2), for conveyance I have linked to the EUU2 page below. Just download and follow the instruction for the update. Make sure to also have A/C power connected during the update, loosing power in the middle really can hose the files on the ROM. As a side note Microsoft released PocketPC 2002 EUU3 to manufactures on October 11th 2002, generally the update is available 4 to 6 weeks after this for the user.
