Has anyone tried this hard case from a german company called Palmcase.
From the link below, click on 'Kunststoffkoffer' at the top middle of the screen and then the first option in the list "Palmcase-Net". There is even a picture of a 7/netbook inside and it looks pretty snug.
I don't speak German but have been able to translate some, using Babel Fish. Not sure I am brave enough to order one yet so wondered if anyone else has. Price seems reasonable at about £45 + delivery. Not sure if they will deliver to UK. This case is also referred to on a link provided on Yan's site (second link)

There's a review by Thomas van der Zijden of the S5 version of hard case from this same manufacturer:

May just be of some interest to you.

I haven't used that case but have a Palmtec one and it is excellent, I highly recommend it, strong, smart, light, perfect fit, and good service, looks really good after nearly 2years of hard use. (And no I don't work for them or get a commision, this is one of those products I have brought with no regrets)

Hi Mark,
I too have the Palmtec (or Porporta as they are now) case although I was slightly disappointed with the build quality. I suppose I was expecting alot after being very happy and impressed with their 5mx hard case which has served my well.
Although the semi regid case does work and has saved my unit, the case is looking on the shabby side even though it resides in my computer bag most of the time. The stitching is starting to come away on some of the edges and it is certainly not easy to clean, even with the suggested damp cloth.
It would be interesting if Proporta visit this site ever, to perhaps comment on these issues, as I have not got around to speaking to them directly.
Kind Regards
Si

I also choose the semi-rigid Palmtec for my nB. It seems solid and very light, even if a bit expensive...:(

Hi Si. Not sure how old your case is, but might be worth writing to them - they have always been good with me in the past about after sales service care and returns - as that does not sound good about the stiching. If we are talking about the same case with the shoulder strap + handle inside pocket with 3 credit card pouches, the build quality of mine is still looking good, even the zips which I was a little concerned about looking a little small still work as new with just 1 tooth looking a little out near the beggining of one edge, I reckon that the cleaning with a damp cloth could not be overly effective also, I have never bothered. I don't know if they are still there, but a while back on the psion site they were selling off the orignal leather cases cheap, I think about £35 reduced from £70 or there abouts, they looked good but a bit bulky for what I wanted (throwing in a backpack / tent). There was a thread on the google group once I think also about alternative bags and hard cases for other brands that fit the Netbook - sorry I can't be more specific, I lose track of where and when I see such things.
