Yesterday, I pressed the contacts hardware button (defaulted to my list of contacts) and nothing happened. It always opened up the directory of phone numbers, etc prior to yesterday. I tried to trouble shoot by searching for the program in the Windows start-up menu as well as the file explorer, but when I clicked on the icons, nothing happened. I checked to see if the hardware button was set to another software program, but that wasn't the case. I also tried making a different default hardware button for my Contacts, but the directory still would not come up. The only way I can access my contacts directory is with the "Find" program.

Has anyone had the same kind of problem with their e310? What can I do to restore the contacts directory back to the hardware button that it originally was set to?

Thanks for any and all replies.

Sincerely,
BB

Called Toshiba's tech support. I just had to do a soft reset and my contacts program was running smoothly again. They told me that it wold be a good idea to do a soft reset periodically (weekly or even daily)

Hi DoubleB,

Isn't that sound a lil' bit giggling? Should we do the soft reset periodically?

BTW, did they told you the reason to that?

TIA.

Hi T-shirt,
Honestly, I keep my e310 on mute to save on the battery life, so I didn't even here the funny sound you were referring to when a soft reset is done. As for why we should do soft resets at all, the tech support person I spoke with didn't tell me what was the reasoning behind it, but then again I didn't ask why (should have though). He did say that some people do soft resets daily, some do weekly, which reminds me.....
