Thanks to DrMud for his response to ?? re MMC. I was using Audible Manager to download and listen to audio books and it garbaged my 64mb SanDisk MMC. There didn't seem to be anything native to the program to unfuggle the problem and I was considering a $50.00 (plus) loss. MrMud mentioned SyncWizard and its ability to format the MMC.

SyncWizard is a MUST for any palm user. Thanks DrMud.

I agree with you Dan. SyncWizard has bailed me out on a number of occasions. I use it to make a complete mirror of my Palm 515 and card once a week. I am happy with BackupBuddy and use it every time I HotSync but knowing that you have a complete copy of your Palm gives a real "rest easy" feeling. In addition I use SyncWizard to load apps and to help in the repair of friends Palms. I can make a copy of a friends flaky Palm, work on it and if I need to, do a hard reset. I can add apps back one at a time looking for a problem. It is no problem to reload all of their apps as if nothing ever happened. Great tool!

DrMud, I thought BackupBuddy made a complete copy of the Palm; or, are you saying BackupBuddy backs up RAM and SD only; whereas, SyncWizard backs up ROM, RAM and SD?

BackupBuddy makes a complete back up, or a partial backup if that is what you set it for. SyncWIzard makes a very different sort of backup. SyncWizard will copy all of your files, RAM, Flash ROM and the Card. It will also copy the OS ROM as well. It requires a little more effort than BackUP Buddy but I like having it as a second line of defense. It will also allow you to add and remove files from your Palm without HOtSyncing. They are different. Try the demo on SyncWizard and see if it has merit for the type of things you get into. SyncWizard shows the ICONS for apps and the associated files. Just a nice way to work with what is on your Palm.
