Sudden rapid battery drain on T3

I have had my T3 for about 2 or 3 months now. A few weeks ago, the battery drained from 100% to nothing in just minutes. This happened several times.

Palm support was useless. After a couple of resets, the problem went away.

Until today, that is. I just pulled it out of it's case, went to check an address, and the screen is again blank!! The battery is charging at a snail's pace -- only up to 40% after two hours!

Anyone else experiencing this?

You probably know about recalibrating the battery (accountant's description- you engineering guys feel free to correct as necessary!): Plug your device into the cradle or charging cable, and carefully push the reset button while it is charging. "Done: at the startup screen (set Grafitti points now or later), then turn it off and leave it charge for a full four hours. I hope this does some good.

I did the battery reset and it's back to normal now. Holds the charge for good long time. I just don't get what would have caused this, now twice in just a few weeks. Good thing I'm not on the road very often, but if it happens again, I'm gonna trade it in.
