I backed up my palm vx on a external hard drive to a .bak file when I had to change my laptop IBM computer hard drive. I reloaded the laptop palm software and did a hot sync. The laptop said it was backing up my palm data.
It did not.
I have tried to load the bak file to my palm with very limited result.
The files I really need are the address, dates, and memo.
The data appears to be in my laptop .bak files but the palm will not read them. I have tried changing the file extension to .dat as well as "copy and paste" without success.
Please advise
