Hey Vantage,
After downloading the activesync, it could not detect my pocket pc. I went through the help menu, and tried countless things, but nothing seems to work. Do you have any suggestions?
Jonathan.

When you mentuion Pocket PC are you referring to E-125 or E-115 ?

There are several things to check for in the both cases.

In case of E-115 ( also E-10X) the cradle is serial port type. If you have any other softrware running ( digital diary/camera/modem )which accesses & takes over the specific serial port to which your E-115 is connected - you will have to disable / close it. This will free upthe port for ActiveSynch.

In case of E-125 the default connection is USB. I have come across a number of PCs - specifically Compaq - in which the USB ports are diabled by default in the bios. You will have to go into bios setup & enable them.

In case of a notebook computer the serial port is configured - either in the bios or the device manager - to connect to the IR port & the serial port is disconnected/disabled. You will have to disable the IR port so the physical serial port becomes active.

If you still have problems in detection please give full details. I havn't seen your original post on the problem. Perhaps I can help you in sorting it out.

Hope this helps.

Hey Avery:

Try posting next time with more details.
Each PC/computer is different.

respond with an answer geared towards your setup, we need
some info dude.

List your computer type, actual Casio PDA type and if your
connecting serially or through USB then maybe we may
have a solution.
