This one seems strange to me at least. Click on documents and then one of my docs and the Que resets. I have 4 or 5 documents that have been in there for quite a while. I haven't made any updates to them in well over a month. I've tried all of the other apps and everything seems to work as normal. I can click on the documents icon and everything is fine. It's only when I click on any of the actual documents that it resets. What's the best solution to get this remedied?

Are we talking about Docs to Go?

I assume you are using Docs To Go?

Happens from time to time.

Delete the document from the palm and resynch it back from the desktop.

Yes, documents to go. Sorry about that. How can I delete the documents? I go to docs to go and see the list of docs available. If I click on the menu and select delete it says I first have to select a document. If I select a document the unit resets.

Okay, I found out that if I click on the file size of the document it lets me select it without resetting. So, I go to delete it and get a warning stating that the document has never been sync'd to the desktop. This really surprises me. I'm doing hot syncs all the time. Is there something special you have to do to get it to pick up the docs to go stuff?

Check your docs to go settings on the desktop. The link may have been there once but from your symptoms it looks like its gone.

To delete a document tap the icon of the type of file it is to the left of your document listing and that will bring a pop up options menu of which delete is one of the options.

When I got home last night I did some investigating. I found out that Docs-2-Go had never been installed on my PC. That struck me as odd since I did install it on the Que. Oh well, I installed it from the CD onto my PC and set it up to do syncs anytime I hot-sync like normal. Did several hot-syncs and all went well.

I then deleted the files that I was having problems with from the Que, re-sync'd them and guess what, same problem. When ever I clicked on the files, which happen to be spreadsheets, the Que resets. I delete the files again and just try to open a new word document. No problem. Then I try to open a sheet document. Bang...there's my reset again. So I figure it must be something wrong with the app itself.

Next, try to delete the app. I select it, try to delete, get a message pops up says something to the effect of "memmory error at some-file-name.c line xxxx" (I'm a sw developer by trade and do understand some error messages). So, I figure it must be time for a hard reset. I did the hard reset, re-sync'd and now everything is fine. Only problem is that I lost several of my spread sheets during this process. I don't know if I deleted them accidentally and didn't restore them or what. I got two of them back after the hard reset but lost 3 or so others. All in all, a fairly happy ending. Thanks for the help early on with this.

I once had problems with docs to go when I did an upgrade, some of the files on the Palm where the new version and other files were still the old version.

I removed all programs (sheet, wordview etc.) from the Palm ,than installed the new version again.
It worked great after that.
