Hello,

I am in the process of refurbushing my Compaq 3635 which has been lying unused for a while.

I would like to know if there is any software for the following:

1)Manage Contacts, To Do List, Calendar, Appointments.

I would like to type in the information on my desktop and then sync the information to the program on the PDA.

Unfortunately, typing the information directly into the PDA has some limitations for me.

2) Manage basic expenses. Basically I would like to keep track of my account balances (checkings/savings) in about 4 bank accounts, and also keep a track of bills paid, upcoming expenses.

I do NOT need to track stocks, investments. Once again, a program which I can enter the information on my desktop and then sync it to the PDA would be more helpful.

3) A good alarm/clock software

4) A good battery management software

Thats all I can think of for now.

Thanks for your help

RJ

First issue is what OS do you have on this 3635, it's originally released with ppc2000 and a lot of softwares do not run on this older OS anymore. You can upgrade this ipaq only to ppc2002(which is not current either) by getting the upgrade cd or sending it in to 3rd party upgrade company. So i'm not sure some of the recommendation will work of you have ppc2000.

1> Your desktop's Outlook (not Outlook express) that's on the cd that came with the ipaq can interact with your's ipaq's PIM . You can sync the information back and forth via Activesync.

2> Both MS Money and Quicken has pocketpc version that can interact with the desktop, do you have either?
