No they are not broke but they are currently around the £300 mark. There are three of them on Ebay. Apparantely brand new with full Psion warranty. You will have to be quick though as the first two run out in 3hrs and the third runs out in 11. If you are looking to buy a netbook or a second backup machine, get onto ebay quick.
Regards
Si
btw I have no link to the seller or Ebay. Just noticed these bargins whilst passing through.
UPDATE: There is more than three and a couple currently priced at £82 & £155 (although these have a day or two left on the clock)

Please see warnings and discussion in Netbook thread entitled :-
" Just how much did you pay for your netbook? "
Seller is NOT in the UK. I'm not sure whether Psion will honour the warranty on these NEtbooks.

These netbooks are also subject to import duty and tax(VAT 17.5%). This can increase the price by up to 30%.

The "reserve" price seems to be $650 (about 433 quid). I successfully bid for mine at $660 and one just went half an hour ago for $650. As I posted elsewhere, the seller is a Singapore based business (I have their address) that deals with personal computers, peripherals and accessories. He has around 48 positive EBAY feedbacks (mainly how fast they are in delivery) , 1 Neutral and no negative comments. He requires PAYPAL (now owned by EBAY) and shipping is quoted only for the USA ($25) and Canada ($30).
Insurance is not included and I am currently trying to find out if I can get cover for shipping before I pay.
It remains to be seen if all is well/goes well. I will post an update when the transaction is concluded and I have the Netbook up and running (or not!!).
Grant
PS Is duty really 12.5%?

Everyone should be aware that eBay USA and eBay UK are different sites, which is, I think, causing a bit of confusion here - this particular seller is advertising on both, it would appear. There are quite a number of negative comments about this seller on the UK site, principally about shipping charges and import duties etc increasing the price quite a bit, and also about long waits for delivery. Plenty of positives too though.
It's a classic case of caveat emptor. Grant, I really hope this transaction works out fine for you - I'll be delighted to hear when you finally get a netBook - I know you've been hankering after one for quite a while. :)
