I purchased a NEC 770 off ebay and I'm still trying to learn how to access MSN account on the interent. I've set up a Remote Network connection however when I try to connect the modem does not display nor dial the access number. I hear the dial tone and then it only disables the call waiting and doesn't dial the number. The dial pattern and dialing properties are correct but cant seem to get it to work. Can anyone please tell me what's wrong before I go crazy? I've been at this thing for a few hours now.
Thank you

If you normally dial an area code where you live, you need to enter FG for all dialing options, for local, long distance and international. If you dial only a local number like 425-6621, enter a G for all options. This should get you connected as long as you have your dial up options correct.

The above post refers to dialing patterns. Sorry.

If you have MSN on your desktop, you should realize that the dial-up connection will not work on Windows CE devices. You cannot connect to MSN with your Mobilepro...period.
However, if it is not dialing whatsoever, the is often caused by improper settings in your dial up connection. Make sure you are not using Hayes Compatible Modem on COM1: The 7X0 series internal modem is something like COM9: or something...scroll down the list and select the correct modem.
