are there any screen protectors out for the tungsten yet ?

will the iiic protectors fit ?

how will they work with the sliding graffiti area, will the graffiti area be unprotected ?

thanks in advance

I tried using the IIIc (WriteRIGHT) screen protectors on my Tungsten, but it was just a bit too big. (But it also could be that I was a bit clumsy applying it) So I trimmed about 1mm off of each side, and that seemed to work. The grafitti cover slides over the screen protector just fine. Until someone comes out with a properly sized protector, this seems to work.

thanks for the reply !

the more i read about the TT, the more i think it's time to upgrade from my faithfull iiic. i'd feel a bit uneasy though about putting the TT in my back pocket without a plastic flip cover, or is that what the clear plastic cover on the TT is for.

Well, I'm not about to try sitting on this beauty, even with the plastic cover. Strictly front pockets for me.:p

The clear polycarbonate cover that comes with the TT will do an excellent job protecting the screen when it's in place and you're only using the D-pad or voice recorder button. If you open the slider with the cover in place, the graffiti area and the buttons are covered, so you'll have to take the cover off and clip it to the backside of the TT.

I have been more concerned with scratching the graffiti area, since it gets the most contact by the stylus. I read on these boards years ago about using Scotch Removable Magic Tape, Type 811, 3/4" to cover the graffiti area. The tape uses the same removable adhesive as Post-It Notes and its width is a perfect size match for the graffiti area. In addition to protecting it from scratches, it adds a "paper" feel to writing and does not decrease or "deaden" stylus input accuracy. I change the tape weekly, as the surface tends to "glaze" with continued stylus input. Before applying a new strip of tape, I clean the screen with a very light application of car polish. ... My PalmPilot Pro was scratched terribly. I used the tape on my Palm V and my m505 and both have graffiti areas that look like new. I'm now using the tape on my TT. The roll of tape lasts forever, so it's cheap insurance for protecting the graffiti area from scratches.

Thanks, I didn't even see that in the box! I just left that new screen protector on, but this little PC cover is nice!
