I have been having a hard time understanding the obsession with speed on Palms. People talk about the Tungsten being 144 MHz and the new Clie being 200 MHz. I totally understand processor speed when it comes to PCs, but is processor speed really that much of a factor with a Palm where everything is running from memory anyway? To me, running programs on a Palm is comparable to running a program from a RAMDrive on a PC. There is virtually no delay. I'm sure that a unit with a 200 MHz processor might launch a program a few milliseconds faster than one with a 144MHz, but does a few milliseconds really matter?
