SD Card problem

I cannot erase a video file from my SD Card. It says "Some of the files could not be deleted. Probable cause - the file is read- only." Can anyone help me on this? I cannot erase the card to sell or trade. Very disturbing!

Are you using the TE's built-in Delete function or an add-on program like FileZ?

. But I got a bigger problem now. I took my card out for a second and when i put it back in , it was empty. First , it asked me if I want to refomat the card and everything on it will be erased. Of course I canceled that, but the card is empty. I tried refreshing the appl.s and updating shortcuts(this has helped in the past when somthing is wrong). But all I get when i tap on a program is"the volume reference number is invalid(VFS 2A09)" know anything about this?
