I just bought a Sony Clie T665C and want to be able to play MP3's on it. Is there an advantage to buying the 128MB memory stick over the 128MB Magic Gate to store the files on it. The manual references 240 minutes of playing time with the MAgic Gate but it is more expensive than the Mem. Stick. Also if I use the MAgic Gate can I store extra files on there and run them off that like I used to do with my PEG 300? Any help would be appreciated before I dump $100 on the wrong item.

im not possitive on this, but i think that you need a magic gate memory stick to play mp3s, it shold be somewhere in your mannual since the 665 has a built in audio player
Actually, you need Magic Gate to play Atrac format audio files. The only advantage to this is that it is the format for Sonic Stage, the Sony program included on their computers- with fairly strict copy protections. i paid 10$ for a MP3 converter and can use any MS available...
Of course, I'm relatively new to this stuff so I could have some details wrong...please feel free to correct me.
