birthday reminder? annoying !

i have a list of my friends, family contact and their birthday in my contact ... i didnt set any reminer ( or alarm) for any of these birthday, :) but why my pocket always start ringing when it is their birtday , it is like almost everyday ! so annoying !!

i still want my normal alarm to work of course...( i woke up every morning at 8.30am), but how do i turn off the annoying reminder for the birthday? i dont mind it is display on my today screen but not the sound plese !:mad:

hmmm this is an interesting question.

I think this might work... (total guess)
sync your pocket pc. do a backup.

Hard reset your little guy

sync, guest partnership

find the contact database file with the explorer in your computer.

copy and paste it to your desktop (or wherever)

do a restore

copy and paste the blank contacts database into your pocket pc replacing the full one.

DONT LET YOUR COMPUTER SYNC THE CONTACTS, (that would suck)

go to your calnder thingy and go to tools, options and uncheck the "set reminders for new items"

change the name of your pocket pc (start>settings>system>about>device id) and set up a new partnership
(to prevent the contacts on your pc from being erased)

sync

now ALL appointments will NOT have the reminder. But you can still make them have one. (its just not automatic)

Now that that is all done you can recover your old name (although I don't know why you would and if you dont care ignore the rest)

to do this you just change your device name agian and then sync. The PC will come up with an error ("there are too many devices!")

delete some older names and then change your name agian to your desired name

sync one last time.
