I first backed up everything (both on my computer and on my handheld using BackUpMan AND a Palm BU SD Card). Then I completely deleted all references to Palm software on my computer. And I mean everything!!! Then, I loaded the OS5 upgrade and let it do its thing. Then did the Hotsync and Bingo, everthing worked just as advertised. Did not lose a thing (I think luck and the Good Lord had a lot to do with this part).

Backup man is the best backing up program around !
It saved my life about 7 times a very very good program.
I would suggest this program to anyone as soon as they get there palm pilot it's worth it!
Also Backupbuddy is also a very good one but it slows down your hotsync time to about 1 minute (20 seconds for a regular hotsync with D2G syncing to)
