HELP! I have been trying to get my GarminVista GPS to communicate with my iPAQ running MS Pocket Streets, and spent LOTS of time and effort on cabling, only to get to the point that PocketStreets only gives me COM3, COM4, and COM9 for choices to configure my GPS receiver, and does not see it on any of the three. I am using a serial cable configured to connect to the sync port on the bottom of my iPQA, and have addressed the null connection issue, I am not using a "null" sync cable. What port is the sync serial port on the iPAQ, and why is Pocket Streets thinking I have a COM3, COM4, and COM9 on my iPAQ-H3850. I don't know if it is relevent, but I also have a targus fold keyboad I occasionally use with my iPAQ

Hi, which version of Pocket Streets are you using? And is your GPS unit NMEA 1.1 or higher compliant?
Thanks

Pocket Streets 2002 (w/MapPoint 2002) and the Garmin Vista outputs NMEA v2.0, along with about 10 others, I've got it set on the latter though...
