e740 web browsing

hi all i have a 740 with 2 questions, 1st when i browse the web and need to login to a web site it does not bring up a log in window, any ideas?

second is when my battrey goes flat i lose all data, i saw the recall but my serial number is 6xxxxxxx so below the recall number, again any ideas?

Hi,

Just got my e740 back from Toshiba with the changes? and with it was a single sheet of paper, with text on one side. It explains about battery usage and how to set the unit for longest battery life, etc…. Makes reference to the Users document. I found two statements of interest:
1. “If you have not used the Toshiba Pocket PC for several days, it’s battery charge level reading may be inaccurate. Fully recharge the battery for 2-3 hours before using.” and 2. “If the battery charge level becomes extremely low, or is completely discharged, the memory data stored in the Toshiba Pocket PC could be deleted.”
The way the document reads is that the Battery life/loss of data is still a problem even after the upgrade. But for all the little problems the device has, I would not trade it for a different model. I am very impressed with it.
