Ok, I have looked around these forums and not found a similar thread so here goes.

I have recently bought a iPaq 37xx. The device works great except for 1 BIG problem.

When I have ActiveSync 3.5 installed on my Windows XP Pro comptuer, if I try to browse the network (Network Neighborhood/My Network Places) My system resets.

This happens without regard to if the iPaq is in the cradle or not, if I have synced since last boot or not. Only if ActiveSync 3.5 is installed or not. I have even turned off all ways of syncing with the PocketPC including serial, USB and network.

So, has anybody heard of/had this problem and know a solution. This problem is a real show stopper for my using a PocketPC. I will have to go back to my Palm if I cannot solve this problem because I cannot have my system restarting any time I want to use my home network.

Thanks in advance,

Don't know where exactly your problem comes from yet. One thing you can do to stop the restart is on your desktop go to start-Settings-Control Panel-System-Advanced-Settings under Startup&Recovery and uncheck Automatically Restart under System Failure. That won't solve the problem, but at least computer won't restart and you might see some messages that can tell you more. You can also try installing latest version of Activesync http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pocketpc/downloads/activesync36.asp

Thanks for the ideas.

Unfortunately, neither helped. AS 3.6 starts the same problem and even unchecking reboot doesn't stop the instant reset of the system.

I am open to any other suggestions anyone may have.
