broken stylus clip

my PDA (ipac 3765) fell down and the clip which holds the stylus down broke. it is not under warranty i need to know where i can i buy this part back used is fine .

for now i have a stop gap solution i dug a grouve in a candle with a match place the clip in there then i put in epoxy. when hard i filed into shape it works fine but i like my things factory perfect.

Next is there a way to install a program in ROM so i dont have to reload if the battery dies

There are lots of companies that replace the regular stlyus clip with a metal one. and no you can't put programs in rom. Try puting them in the ipaq file store, the files in there are saved even if your battery dies.

I sent mine on Monday, I had three things upgraded on my IPAQ including the stylus clip, and I had it back by Wednesday. They are located in Texas and are former Compaq Technicians. Don't mess with this yourself without calling them.
