MY new (2 days) unit crashed with complete loss of the data that I added. It seemed to crash when I put it into a cradle to recharge. The cradle was my wife's Palm 515 cradle, which, of course, is compatible with the Tungsten T. The unit went completely dead; totally unnresponsive.

A call to Palm was helpful. They suggested resetting the unit while it was in the cradle and it came back up with out the data.

I have not yet fully investigated this phenomemon yet, so I don't know all the factors. However, it does raise a question in my mind.

Why can't we save all RAM data to the external memory card?
Does any one know of a way to mirror or copy Memo, Calender, To Do files to an SD or multimedia card?

Aside from the above, I am impressed with my new unit. I have been using Palm 3c units since they have become available and the Tungsten T makes all the tasks that I do on the Palm much easier.

I have not had any crashes, fatal exceptions error messages, or the need to hard reset my Tungsten T. I HAVE had the screen freeze "blank" and with the backlight on. A simple push of the Reset solved that problem, which was caused by a 3rd party application.

There are a number of VFS back-up utilities available that will back up to your memory card. I use BackupBuddyVFS by Blue Nomad to back up onto my Secure Digital card.
