So, the Tungsten T is great, but I can't figure out how to carry it around. I've ended up using an ancient Palm III belt clip case. And I found out that I *must* use the clear plastic cover over the Tungsten while in that case, or else the buttons get pressed and I end up with a Tungsten with No Power! I find the clear plastic cover to be an annoyance that I'd much rather avoid.

I'm travelling THIS WEDNESDAY (11/6) and need a reasonable case ASAP! Palm's cases won't be available for a few weeks (apparently). The sliding graffiti feature makes this Palm a real challenge to find a decent case for. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY PRACTICAL IDEAS HOW TO FIND (AND BUY) A DECENT CASE THAT'LL WORK WITH THE TUNGSTEN T *NOW*?

I haven't come across anything specifically designed for it yet, so your best solution might be to adopt an intermediate solution. Rather than the belt case, do you have an old, perhaps somewhat bulky, case that was used for a Day Timer or paper-based organizer such as that?

If so, you can purchase some velcro attachment tapes -- one for the case and the other for the Tungtsen -- and fasten the PDA inside of the Day Timer case. This will be large enough that the buttons won't get accidentally pressed (assuming that you don't jam it in with lots of paper).

I know that many people don't like using velcro, but this solution will work and, as a side benefit, you can have ready access to paper for notes, if needed. I use this solution for some client meetings when I want to travel light, but still need paper because the clients might consider me to be too much of a geek and lacking in human skills if I whip out the portable keyboard.

Unfortunately, I'm looking for something quite a bit smaller than a Day-Timer. I put a few post-it notes in whatever case I use, in case I need to give a palmless person some info; for me, all I need is my Palm. One reason I got the Tungsten T is because it's so small, so I'm interested in keeping the whole package small too.

Any more ideas? I've noticed that the Tungsten T is roughly the size of the Treo. Perhaps there is a Treo case that could reasonably be adapted?

This would still use the velcro solution, but Coach sells a case that would definitely work. Rather pricey, but attractive, semi-rigid to provide protection, and would provide a modest bit of additional room for notes, business/credit cards, and the like.

Also, try http://www.styluscentral.com. Shipping in time for your trip might be an issue.

Go straight to Staples. I just picked up a temporary case myself on Friday. They have a varied selection and in a pinch one probably will work. Good Luck.

I just got back from the local Fry's and Staples, and neither had any cases that I really felt comfortable with. I did purchase a Targus PDA/Handheld Universal Slip case ($9.99) at Fry's, but it ends up being too bulky to slip in the little pocket in my leather bag that it used to slip into when I used it with my old Palm III belt case. I guess I'm rather picky about what I want -- minimal size *and* protective of the Tungsten T. I'd prefer something I could use that would allow me to abandon the clear cover, but I guess I'm resigned to needing to keep it for now. And I'm kinda concerned about the velcro type of solution, since only half the Tungsen would be velcro'd into place. So, I appreciate the suggestions so far, but I'm still looking....
