Hi, All,

I'd like to hear others' opinions about the best display settings for a Word document.

Right now, I use Times New Roman, 12 pt, Bold, Line-spacing 13 pt, Line spacing control "at least." But if I'm moving my Mako into different light settings through the day, sometimes, those display settings are hard to see.

The Zoom makes everything legible, of course, but sacrifices a great deal in terms of actual words displayed.

Perfect would be Times New Roman, Bold, 13 pt, but a 13 pt option doesn't seem to be an option for Fonts (14 pt generates same loss of words-on-screen as the zoom display).

Anybody's advice would be greatly appreciated.

the best display settings for a Word document. The optimum setting is very much a subjective one - it will depend on an individual's eyesight, lighting conditions and so on. Also, the primary purpose of Word is to create documents which can subsequently be printed, so changing the font size, line spacing, bold attribute etc. on screen will also alter its size in the printed output.

I rarely print directly from the Mako. Its printing specs don't have the tweaking capability of desktop Word, and even its default font print-out doesn't quite match the print-out of Times New Roman 12 pt of MSWord. Since I have to submit a lot of hardcopy, the discrepancy is too apparent.

I simply run a macro in MSWord that restores the document to the print settings for manscript standard.

Much faster, and it allows me to continue tweaking the Mako's display for optimum visibility/words-on-screen.
