Hello,

On Windows Mobile 2003 when an application is closed, it remains in memory. Why ?

I have installed WIS bar to close manually the applications.

Is there a way to automatically remove an application from memory when it is closed ?

Thanks
Mario

The theory is that the operating system will manage these open programs and memory on its own efficiently, and you will be able to access these programs quicker because they reside in the memory. Using 3rd party task manager is an easy way, you can also use ctrl-q from the soft keyboard to close the programs.

As AnswerDude mentioned, there are a number of 3rd party programs that will allow you to close active or all programs that are running on your unit. I use Vbar (which is FREE) and have never had a problem with it.
