Looks like an Otterbox 2600. I have one and it works as claimed. However, the box isn't deep enough to extend the iQue's antenna. I use an external Gilsson antenna, but had to drill holes in the Otterbox which obviously renders it no longer waterproof. That's okay with me; I only need water resistance to occasional rain, but if you want a box that is waterproof and will allow you to extend the iQue's antenna, look at the Otterbox 3600 instead: Otterbox (http://www.otterbox.com/product.cfm?product=103)

The picture shows an iQue with 3D reception. "Creative" advertising?

I wonder how the antenna sticks out?

I agree that while the 2600 is ok - for the GPS, I too would definitely recommend the 3600 as indicated by Trode.
Depending on what you're using it for. If I'm out geocaching with the kids - going over those creeks, streams, wet fields or swamps - all it takes is one "oops, I slipped and dropped it" and that's not necessarily going to happen by a child.
In my opinion, well worth the money.

The 2 cent solution: Zip-loc freezer bag.

Freezer Bags! Not a bad suggestion. Particularly if your primary concern is protection from moisture. I always like cleaver readily available solutions.
I have and use the Armor 3600 Case by Otterbox to protect my iQue in the field. Not only does it offer protection from water, ice, and snow; but from falls, impacts, bumps, and crushing hazards. The case is big enough to keep the antenna open and even attach the Palm Power to Go battery. The case is expensive and heavy. The ruggedness of the case contributes to it weight. While pricey, the construction and materials are very good.

I've looked at these cases too, but I'm turned off by the sheer size of the dimensions. Is it as bad as I think it is? It sounds as though with the 3600 the iQue would no longer be pocket size, and even hanging it off an arm would be bulky and uncomfortable.

The case is big and heavy. I'd compare it to a brick, not quite as heavy as a brick. Too big for most pockets, even big on your belt, but managable., too big to wear on a lanyard.
