O.T. TomTom Stand Alone Unit

Here (http://www.tomtom.com/products/products.php?ID=244&Language=4) is a new device from TomTom that is a stand alone device.

I hadn't seen it posted before...so if it was my apologizes as a search and brief review did not see it listed.

I wonder what the $899 price says to those people that bought either a PPC or Palm unit that costs a lot less....that those that bought it were smart? :D

According to reviews it appears to be a gem. Overhere it's sold for a little over EUR 700, but that's with only BeNeLux map material. It heard rumours that's it's running Linux which I find quite interesting :-)
