I am planning to get the Tungsten soon; but when I read about the interfacing problems with keyboards and the "not so universal" connector I begin to worry.
Does anybody know, whether the Magellan GPS will work on the Tungsten? The Magellan homepage has no information about this aspect. Since the navigation on a colour screen would be a major point for me when upgrading from my M500, this is an extremely important point.
Hoping somebody knows

Palm has posted for download a beta release of the driver for the Palm Portable Keyboard. Palm says it will ONLY work with the Tungsten T and the Palm Portable keyboard. Here's the link:

There is nothing wrong with the universal connector and it works just fine. I am using my m505 cradle to sync my Tungsten and having no problems. The problem is in the drivers and compatability with OS5.

The Magellan GPS will not work because it is designed to fit the Palm m500 form factor. I have the Magellan GPS for my m505 and it does not fit on my Tungsten. (But the maps sure look a whole lot better on my Tungsten than on my m505!)

Sorry to protest - IT DOES WORK FINE!

I bought the TT anyway, and the only snag with the Magellan is, that I have to disconnect the unit to input the destination via grafitti. All other functions are awailable from the touchscreen.
I use it with SWI-Mapviewer software, which does only cover Europe at the time. I do not know anything about mapware for USA, but I have no use for it for many years to come so - why worry?
