Hi. I have the Palmtec (Proporta) offering which is a semi rigid. It is made to just fit, so no room for cables. There are slots for 1 additional PCCard and 4 CF Cards though and room for credit card/business cards and other paper but not much else.
Build quality is good although mine is looking a little shabby now after 1yrs careful use. Stitching is also coming away from one of the corners although this could be just a manufacturing fault on mine as everyone else I know with one have had no such probs.
Check out this other thread as I have asked the same question as you on the hard case available from Palm Case.

I've bought the 'official' leather briefcase to keep mine in and its excellent. Good padding to protect the device and lots of room for bits and pieces.
Furthermore its made in Birmingham UK and the manufacturer will sell direct for much less than the price Psion are asking ;), and do it in either Series 7 blue or netBook black..
Check here for a review and piccies: http://www.foxpop.ndirect.co.uk/eclectica/case_s7_01.htm
or here for the manufacturer:

Yan,
Thanks for the links to both Foxpop and the manufacturer. I have been looking for a suitable case for my netBook and I specifically wanted one that had extra room for bits and bobs and this looks ideal (I had originally thought that this case was the same size as the netBook itself).
This goes on my Christmas list!

Well, I couldn't wait until Christmas so I ordered one at the end of last week and it arrived today. JaGa seem to be very friendly and helpful and it certainly is cheaper buying direct from them. My only problem was that I has to get a 7-blue case and not a netBook-black one but I really don't mind that at all. The case itself seems to be very well put together and looks ideal for a netBook plus 'bits'.

Thanks Yan I too will reach for a larger travel case at this reasonable price for those times when I don't just want the small and light Palmtech to through in a backpack while on the bike. I notice on their web site _http://www.jaga-associates.com/jg084.htm that they also make a beautiful looking small leather case similar to the palmtech in size but looks better which I have never heard talk of (no reveiws) if I didn't already have the palmtech case would go for that as well.

I know what you mean Mark, it does look excellent, although I think I prefer the carrying handle of the PalmTec offering rather than the wrist strap on the Jaga case (looks a bit girly !!!). lol

Yes Si, Not that I am self conscious trend setter or anything, but I do not envisage myself swinging it gaily as I kick through the Autumn leaves - Hmm then again maybe, I have been known for such flights of fancy when enraptured by a new psion compliment. but I was also thinking I would want the Black of the briefcase version to match my netbook (Sad I know) so was concerned when I read S. Wolf posting on them only having blue. I emailed them my order last night and received confirmation today (very fiendly quick email response), i specified Black and they made no mention to the contrary so I presume they now have black in stock, maybe I ought to check that with them.
As it goes, I have the blue version of this briefcase, and its a very very dark blue. Since the case is otherwise brilliant, I wouldn't let the colour put you off (unless its got to match the colour of your suit dearie ;) :D)

I like blue, but that might clash with the orange socks, no fashion victim here, black it will be, a colour for all seasons.
They will have black back in stock in 2 weeks (lucky i checked as they were in process of mailing me blue), so now the challenge of patience - a thing which seems short for me and others in these forums, whether it be for OS upgrades or Ram or anything (other than the moderators and others saint like composure over repeat requests for help on previously covered topics, or basic obvious questions from a new psioner - of which I admit to having most definalty been a perpetrator of such questions, and remain eternally grateful for the gentle and kind help received), actually I am amazed to have been tolerated thus far with digression from topic, I feel impatient with myself for it sorry.
Always happy to bring a smile to such serious debate on lifes essentials Julie...

Julie is just jealous that us men have found our sensitive sides and can discuss wrist loops and colour matching in such an open manner! I'd love the case in brown but blue is a close second (I don't like black cases that much ... I find them too serious!).

Hmmm Brown, Yes I like the sound of that, casual yet distinguished and Maybe POS could offer an upgrade to brown of the leather jacket of the netbook - oh if I had such funds for frivolity - like they did with the casings of the 5mx / 3mx, whilst adding a USB port and memory / processor upgrade too.
