Hi,

I have just installed a Palm m505 on a Windows 2000 PC. I have synchronized with Outlook 2000. The sync works fine but since I installed it Outlook seems to freeze up after a few seconds regardless of whether the Palm is connected of not.

When I open Outlook, it seems to work fine for a few seconds and then it locks up and I have to End Task the application. I don't know if something is running in the background that attempts to perform a task at a set interval but everything worked fine up until the Palm was installed.

As I stated, the Palm worked fine and sync fine for about a day and then this started.

Please help.

Thanks

Clasha,
Am I reading your post correctly:
Your PC freezes during the HotSync and during normal operation without the Palm in the Cradle. Correct?

Have you tried the OutLook / Help / Detect and Repair?

If the Outlook repair does not solve the problem you may want to ask your question of the fine tech support folks at support@chapura.com, they are the folks that developed PocketMirror which connects your Palm to OutLook.

The outlook express 6 troubleshooting (http://www.oemailrecovery.com/outlook-express-troubleshooting.html) and dbx reader (http://www.mail-repair.com/outlook-dbx-recovery.html) has prompted you a path of the Outlook Express files' storage. And now save the damaged dbx files in the safe folder, they can be useful.
