im trying to transfer mp3's to my 4155.
i put the songs in my ipaq desktop folder and then i try to sync it.
but the sync is just freezing and not actually transferring any of the files to my 4155.
i have a 128mb sd card in the hp. so im not sure what the prob is.
thanx for any ideas.

Activesync is not designed to transfer large amount of data. You are much better off getting a sd card reader that plug into usb port on the desktop, it's not expensive , very easy to use and a lot faster than copying file via activesync.

AW MAN
that really sucks.
:)
no wonder it wasnt going.
so there is no way, short of buying some piece of equipment, to get these files onto the p.pc?

I just click in Windows Explorer and browse to the iPAQ SD Card

My Computer - Mobile Device - My Pocket PC - Storage Card

then drag and drop from the PC to the SD card in the ipaq.

I'm going to buy a new card reader soon so will be getting one capable of taking SD cards also as it will be easier that way as AnswerDude suggests

just some fyi
i transferred some files the way that the one guy said to and it worked fine
so anyone who doesnt want to spend the money on a card reader, that is a cheap solution.
but i did buy a card reader, and it will be only $2 once my rebate gets fulfilled. but it is much faster and more conveniant to do it that way.
