I recently purchased "Black Book". It has a great rating It has alot of information but I would like to have more information and be able to hit a key work in the document I am reading . Tabers (I have the book, which is great) did not have as high a rating, and about 5x's as much. Any thoughts?

I believe I did read that Tabers now will allow you to put it on a backup card but I "thing" you have to have some other program called "HANDHELDMED READER" and here is a message on it

"Provided the storage card has enough memory and provided the device supports ActiveSync®, all Skyscape programs run off the expansion memory of Windows CE/PocketPC devices. Note that some devices, like the Casio BE300 or other PocketManagers do not support ActiveSync®.

I have tealdoc will that help? as opposed to handheldmed reader?

ActiveSync is found on PocketPCs. I thought you had a PalmOS PDA.

Paula,
HANDHELDMED READER is the free reader for your Palm that comes with and can read all of the medical references that "HandHeldMed" offers. Their list is good including the Merck Manual. They also have the Physican's Drug handbook (I use Epocrates-Free).
Tabers will run from a memory card on the Palm. YOu will have no difficulty if you can get past the price. It is regularly updated and that is a big plus.
AS you know by now Black Book is a TealDoc meaning it requires you to have Teal Reader on your Palm. TealReader is to BlackBook as HadHeldMed Reader is to Tabers.

PS: If you have not been there yet try: epocrates.com and PDAMD.com.
