Hey guys-

I ordered a 128 meg MMC card with my (Refurbed) Casio EM-500... I have personally fallen in love with the device, however, I can't get the 128 meg card to work. Specifically - it has no problem accessing the card and sending and recieving data.. it does, however, simply refuse to play any media files on the card... which is kinda annoying since I would like to use my PDA as a secondary MP3 player...

Are there any firmware upgrades that will make the Em-500 more compatable with large MMC's?

Second question-

I have read online that upgrading an Em-500 to 32 meg is possible... how?

are there any Em-500 owners groups/forums?

thanks-

-Scott

Did you put your mp3 files in the my documents folder on the mmc? because if you place it anywhere else other than my documents the won't play (thanks microsoft). Also, the mp3 files might need conversion in order to actually play. It happend to me also, the files on the mmc would play on my siemens sl45 phone but on the em-500 not, until i use the sl45 connected to my computer to transfer files to the mmc than play with em-500.

I have a em500 and recenlty bought 2 128 meg MMC cards.

They work fine.

They are IOData MMC2 cards, apparently as fast as SD but more compatible... (Fry's elecronics, USA $55!)

I have an EM 500 and using a 128 SD card to store MP3 and WMA files they play without any problem.

Apps installed onto the card work well also
