WASS differnetial signals

New member here..

With the Gilson external anetnna, I can acquire sats 35 and 47 o n a regular basis. However, since I have owned the 3600 (4 weeks), I have yet to acquire either sats with just the built in patch antenna


I welcome any othes comments or observations

The situation you describe is not abnormal and depends upon vehicle and location of the Que's antenna etc. The built in patch antenna also will take longer to acquire relative to the Gilsson (spelled correctly - don't ask). ;)

Regarding your by-line, Moose, I think he died. Happily.

Regarding augmentation sats with internal antenna (you do notice my rank of priority, don't you?), I've seen that only once with my iQue, and that was when it was lying on my car roof. No, I was not driving, the car was parked in my back yard. But the steel in the roof provides a good ground plane.
