Toshiba e330 Purchased - WTF

The Companion CD is busted, the Setup.exe will not run!! :mad:

I can't find the USB driver to install so that my PC will recognize the USB sync :mad:

Toshiba's site does not support the e330

what should I do?

I would download their usb driver for the e740... it states that:
"This software provides USB connectivity between Toshiba notebook PCs and Toshiba PDAs."

It's not like you're installing sound card drivers or video card drivers. I would imagine this will allow your computer to recognize the device, what's the worst that could happen? It doesn't?

You can download activesync from Microsoft www.pocketpc.com for free. I'm not sure you need to download any USB drivers to make the device work, but for sure you need the activesync connection application. Try that.

It turns out my popup ad filter was preventing the autorun from loading.

I installed Active Sync 3.6 w/o the Cradle installed, then re-installed it when it asks.

Now its working!

albeit its kinda slow (USB 1.1 isn't the fastest) and the cable is too short.

I bought a cheapie 10' USB extension cable off of eBay. Hopefully it'll let me put the cardle closer to a useable location!
