i wanna purchase the e740, but am confused about the following:

can i add memory cards into the CF II slot?

do i need to buy CF II or CF I cards will also work?

Do i need to buy any special adapters with the CF I memory cards?

I am thinking of buying the e740 with a 256 MB CF I card, so do i buy some adapters with it?

Yes, absolutely. CF II is backward compatible with CF I. I took my CF card from my digital camera, and now use it as a storage card for my e740.

I bought my card from Newegg.com (http://www.newegg.com/app/manufactory.asp?catalog=68&DEPA=1)

I would buy the Toshiba OEM cards myself. Actually, the one's I'm refering to are listed under Wintec which I believe is manufactured by Toshiba.
