Who has upgraded? Who saw the most improvement? Who saw the least? How much did you pay for the unlock codes? Curious minds want to know.

Paid $75 to upgrade. It didn't fix two inaccuracies that were investigated and said to be fixed in a next release. I have reported them again. I did note that several POI that I know are still there are now not listed. The biggest thing to me is that I don't know when I will need updated street information that is in V6, so being ready is the key.

We in europe got the most benefit with no more nonsense approaching roundabouts and left turns to the right or was it right turns to the left?

The update corrected routing between Topeka, Kansas and Kansas City. The older version insisted I do not take the highway for about 25 miles - it would have me take the next exit to go back to Topeka and take a lesser road.

It also made better routing calculation on another road I take.

Hope that is an indication that there are more corrections elsewhere.

That's extremely useful information, even though I've never been to Kansas. Seriously.

The only "preview" of CS 6 NA that I know of is the web-based map on the Garmin website. I live in an established area, so road changes are inconsequential to me. The POI's that I know to have changed recently (last 2 years) in the real world are apparently NOT updated in CS 6 NA, according to the web preview. Thus I elect to save my $75.

However, sometimes Betty's routing is kinda, well, dumb. That's OK, because I only need it when I wouldn't know how to get somewhere on my own, so it's far better to meander my way somewhere than never get there at all. But, I would enjoy (and pay for) an update that fixes some routing issues near my common destinations. It's just a pity I can't preview the routing anywhere.

I guess I'm the only one who got it free. I bought in Aug 03, RMAd in November and got the same unit back. When I updated it gave it to me free.

But they just released it this June, so how could you have it back last fall?

I've noticed updates to the map image as well, where I live. Now I'm talking about the European CS 6.
Apart from the solution to the roundabout problem, of course.

Well, i noticed some changes to Las Vegas, NV near the airport. The problem with LV, is the construction around there must drive map makers crazy (or they just love it 'cause it keeps them in business).

Anyway, since i have relatives around there and we go there a few times a year, so it was worth it for me.

Actually mine will be free. I just bought my iQue 3 weeks ago. ;)
