Palm Desktop / Win2K problem

Hi,

I have installed the Palm desktop 4.01. under win2k as administrator. Then I want to run the program when I am logged in under my user profile but Palm Desktop terminates with the following message: "Error: invalid configuration. Terminating Palm Desktop."
What I want to reach is that 2 different users can use Palm Desktop on the same computer but their files should be stored in a directory on a server so that they can use Palm Desktop also on aother machine.
As far as I see the users have both "Full Control" on the directories concerned (C:\program Files\Palm and U:\Palm\User1 and User2)

Any ideas?

The error you are getting is common and the best remedy has always been to Uninstall and reinstall the desktop.
Once I get past that comment I have little to offer never having had a situation such as yours. It is most important to follow the steps to correct the registry.
