Because I do not think the 3200 should be called "Betty", we need to come up with alternate nicknames for the newcomer.

Veronica is Archie's other girlfriend
Wilma is the other spouse in the Flintstones
Liz is the other dimunitive of Elizabeth

Interesting but irrelevant factoid time:
I came across this definition of "Betty", found on dictionary.net

2. [Betty, nickname for Elizabeth.]

A name of contempt given to a man who interferes with the duties of women in a household, or who occupies himself with womanish matters.

I think it should be called Arthur.

As in the 3200 is only 'half a' 3600.:p

You need balls to own a 3600.

:D

Maybe other people see it differently, but I have always seen Betty as the name for the "VOICE" (or the imaginary person behind the voice) and not as a name for the iQue device itself.

Hence, the voice in the 3200 (and in fact any device giving instructions in a female voice) is still a "Betty".

My sentiment for this also comes from the origin of the Betty nickname where the warning and caution voice hints found in many aircraft systems is often affectionately referred to as Bitchin' Betty.

i kinda think maybe "Bea" because B is short for Betty.

i've already been calling it "iQue Lite" tho.

the image in my head is if there were Palm OS-tans (character mascots that are entirely fan-created, and somehow quite consistent across hundreds of artists and styles. beware some are quite risque), the 3200 would be the 3600's actual little sister, being a few pixels shorter, with fewer audio features, but newer fun toys (SDIO) that 3600-tan would be envious of. we remember that feeling growing up...

Not sure which would have 'stability' issues like the Windows ME-tan, considering 3200 is newer, but 3600 had issues early on. (ME-tan is i think the most popular of the OS-tans, because of the dim-witted cuteness, etc.)

How about a combination of "Betty" and "Light" ?

The result would be "Blight" :D
