Hi

Has anyone had the problem / issue / feature etc.
of when a HotSync is performed - all of the user defined categories are removed?

If not what OS are you using?

Just connecting to MS Outlook XP on a standalone PC

Have you been using XP or is it an update?
When installing the Palm Desktop to XP you need to be ssure that the USER has Administrative Privedleges.
1. To check if you have administrator privileges in XP, go to Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts. If it doesn't list the type of account under the name of account you use, click on your account and click "Change account type." The next screen should show which type the account is. You may not be able to change this without help from your IT department. The administrator privileges can be removed after installation of Palm Desktop, but they must be added to the user account prior to installation.

XP was a fresh install and then the Palm Desktop software was installed.
