As this site is read and used by people worldwide, it would be useful if sellers would put all the information for a buyer in their initial advert ie. location, selling price, product information etc. Some threads are in their fourth or fifth posting before someone has enough information to make a decision on whether they are interested or not.
Make it easy for us guys and gals please eh...
Thanks

I think Doug has raised a great point here! I personally get frustrated when members don't state their location (if only their country of residence) in their profile.

I know some of you don't want to give away too much information, but location can be pretty important when answering certain forum queries, and it's absolutely essential if you're trying to sell something.

So yes, this applies to all areas of the message boards - the more information you give, the more likely you are to achieve a satisfactory result. :)

I'll just reiterate my original point, made several months ago.

The more information you give, the more likely you are to achieve a satisfactory result. :)

And to add to my original post of exactly a year ago today (happy anniversary), please also do a quick post if you sell it, it saves unnecessary posts asking if you have sold it!
It's only good manners........

Yes, it's called "common courtesy", something that has become far to UNCOMMON these days.

Maybe here is where we start the movement that makes it "comon" again!

Looks like some people still don't get it! Look at recent posts.

For those who may not know it, there's a free classified listing board here. As you can see, anything that's being listed for sale in the main boards is being moved here. If you have something to sell, write a good ad and post it in classified. It saves the mods from having to move your post and you wondering what happened to your ad.:)

Just an idea...I think it would be good to have a sticky thread with a clear set of rules for selling.

Eg.: rules on what kind of sales are considered proper and appropriate, regulations for bumping threads, info on flaming, scamming, etc.

I think you have a very good idea there - I will suggest it to the site administrators.

I need a USB/1.0-sync cable for my Casio 500 EM. Can anyone help me out? I'd also like to know if I'm going to be able to save my Palm IIIC backup info to the Casio intact. Thanks in advance.
