Has anyone ever experienced a hard reset as a result of allowing the battery power on your Ipaq to drain completely. This has happened to me 2x within the past year. Basically, my wife uses my Ipaq to play solitaire and forgets to shut it off..I dont have the auto-shutoff feature turned on..and the Ipaq basically dies. When I charge it and turn it back on..Its reset to factory settings, all apps gone, and goes through the whole setup/calibration procedure. I am running Pocket PC 2002.

It is a normal and expected thing for pocketpc to hard-reset when you let the battery completely run down. Regular backup is highly recommended.
