Access database to PDA

I do not now own a PDA. I would like to buy one, but only if I can figure out how to download my client database to the PDA. The database was created with MicroSoft Access. It appears that Pocket Access is only available on high-end palm computers, not on the lower end handhelds. Is there a way to purchase and download Pocket Access to a lower end PDA? ALternatively, can I download selected fields from my Access database to the PDA's address book, either directly or through third party software? I assume that if I want to use Pocket Access I am restricted to a PocketPC device, but otherwise can I use a Palm device?

I would greatly appreciate any help with this question?

i have completed a simple project with pocket pc with pocket access, it works fine, but the only bad thing is - it can't sell well because pocket pc is generally more costly.

i am aware that pda is able to support database, but how do i do a desktop application that can read the pda database and churn out report with it.

How were you able to use Pocket Access on a Pocket PC? The only hardware I have found that uses Pocket Access is a so-called palm computer listing for around $1,000. I'm looking for a handheld device that uses the Pocket PC operating system, with Pocket Access, in the $200 - $300 range.

Microsoft do not provide Access for pocketpc, but there are plenty of 3rd party softwares that will let you do that from your inexpensive pocketpc device. Here's some;

The sync program for PocketPC's (PPC), ActiveSync, allows for the syncing of tables your PPC device from a Access DB. This data can in turn can be accessed via one of the programs mentioned AnswerDude.
