So now that we know that hp will not be using the newest OS that has the landscape option,
how will we acquire it? will there be a way to buy the upgrade?

Based on the question I see, Since HP will not be releasing the Mobile 2003 SE upgrade to existing models, then we won't be able to get it or buy it.
Depending on the Feature you wish to use that would be availalbe on the SE upgrade, there are other alternatives. For example, the landscape screen can be had by buying one of the several utility programs out there, such as
JS Landscape X http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=3240
or Go Landscape (iPAQ 5000 series) at http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=7139
There are other utilities that have this feature included, such as Tweaks2K2 .NET here http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=2724 and there are more.
So, depending on what you're looking for, there are other programs to do what you want.
Hope this helps.

macscac, My opinion to your question is "No". I don't belive there were ever be a ROM update, if HP does not release it.. However there are third party software that does the landscape, however it requires a reset of your device everytime you switch the orientation.

I followed the thread but I'm still a bit confused. His question seems innocent enough. What'd he do wrong?
