I would like to point out that my member account shows I have
over 640 posts. I may have posted 100's and even 1000's of
posts over the years but 640 in 1 week is beyond me. :-)
Specially with the new software and when the old archives
are not part of this new software.
Thats over 90 posts a day. I am not Superman. :-)
Please look into this and it maybe a good idea to check the
post totals of all members to reflect the real count numbers.

Bob,
If you have the same username as in the previous boards, your number of posts has been brought forward from the old boards.

Are you saying I have posted 640+ messages only since
joining PocketPCCity.com years ago?
Even if this number is accurate, what purpose does this serve
if the other members cannot access these posts for HELP through
this forum software?
Thanks
Bob

Presumably the message count against your profile was about 640 when the boards changed over?
Even if this number is accurate, what purpose does this serve if the other members cannot access these posts for HELP through this forum software?
The messages from the old boards are going to be made available.

I understand that the old posts will be made available.
The one question that no one has been able to answer for
me is if these old posts will be integrated into the Vbulletin
messages? If not as far as I see it, it does not make sense
to have a post count of 640+. Not necessarily misleading but
most users will ssume this count pertains to Vbulletin and my
HELPFUL responses should be here somewhere.

Greetings;
I agree that the post counts are outrageous and have been wondering the same thing that Bob points out. I hear that the archived posts are going to be accessable and that's great, it's also good to hear that I will be able to search using Bob's old user ID, but that leads me to ask if a list of old users are going to be posted so that the information can be verified by the users track record.
My next question is why Bob_Katayama is not a Moderator here on this site, he was/is a vast knowledge base that I feel we need. I'd like to know if that's the reason for his posting countdown. As much as I am trying to help this board I feel that loosing him will be demoralizing, even to me. I ask the question can having mperetz as the Moderator on every board be advantagous to US as a whole? In the last incarnation no one person moderated all the boards and most had two.
I feel that losing Bob will send a negative message to everyone, please rethink your position. I myself have posted more in this last week that I have in the last 6 months, and would hope that it was not all in vain. You say this is a software change but I also see a possible power struggle, There is enough work for everyone so we don't need to alienate anyone. All you need to do is to look at how many people read Bob's postings to understand how many users look up to him and his advice.
Thanks for listening to my Rant:D

The reason we went back and looked up people's old post counts is because we got a lot feedback from users saying they were upset that their "Status" on the boards wasn't reflective of how much they've posted on the PDAStreet boards overall (old and new). These folks undertandably weren't happy being called Junior Members.
We tried not to miss anyone. However, if a user would like their post counts corrected they can let me know.
As for Bob, we'd be more than happy to have Bob continue as a moderator. We are sorry for the way the change over was handled. It was not meant as an insult to the user and the moderators. We have done our best since then to rectify things. Bob has chosen not be a moderator on the site anymore. He is welcome to come back and moderate any time he wishes. His expertise will be missed.
