There are several browsers for Palm devices, but none that I know of that are 'full screen" as in, can display a full web page compressed to a palm screen. In fact many sites, have "pda" pages that are setup for display on hand helds in text only mode. But on top of that, how do you plan on getting to the web from the iQue in the first place? Just curious. davidajo 07-30-2004, 12:09 PM where is possible download Web Pro 3.5? donc13 07-31-2004, 11:39 AM Originally posted by davidajo where is possible download Web Pro 3.5? Web Pro 3.5 is specific for the Zire 72, at least according to Palm's site. Web Browser Pro is available there also for $35 but again, requires a connection to the internet via the bottom connector. It also claims a Tungsten T or T2 but presume it will work on any Palm OS machine. Curious Cat 07-31-2004, 12:15 PM I'm using 3.0 and it works fine, not full screen of course. It was not easy to find either but if someone needs it, PM me and I'll see if I can send it to you. FreeBird 07-31-2004, 12:20 PM @donc13, you can also use the infrared port with a mobile phone. That's how I access the internet occasionally to check my emails (iQue + SonyEricsson T630 (using GPRS) via infrared port). It's not very speedy (GPRS gives you a max of 56kbit/sec, depending on your provider) but it's enough to check my emails. DigiToyz 07-31-2004, 01:40 PM I've been using a cable that connects my IQue to a Kyocera 7135 phone. I got it from ww.gomadic.com. They seem to have every possible combination to use all sorts of phones w/ the IQue, and their customer support is absolutely fantastic – just really nice people. Lance donc13 08-01-2004, 10:20 AM Yes, I've used mine with my Motorola phone and Verizon, but only for email, not for browsing....my connect is only 14.4kHz using that route....100 times slower than my normal DSL connection at home...so I'm spoiled. But to all who caught me on that...yes, I was thinking of bluetooth or Wi-Fi access when I said the iQue didn't support it, I had forgotten about direct phone access since I do it so rarely. Don peeam 08-01-2004, 10:46 AM FreeBird, Could you please tell a novice like me, how you use your Sony Erricsson phone with IQue. If you have 3.0 working, you can have full screen by using CodeDiver Connection to a cell phone works both over IR and cable. The Gomadic cable is the easiest to handle. I think it's their (Sprint's) way of trying to force their customers to pay for their Internet service. Maybe your new phone is so new that gomadic doesn't have it listed yet. They say that they will send you a new cable if/when you change phones, so it's probably worth at least a phone call to them (if you haven't already). They are the ones who told me that some cell phone companies are changing to keep them from being able to connect. :( I may be switching when my current contract is up. It was a replacement phone they provided when my other died. mtnmunch 09-21-2004, 11:37 PM So how does one get their hands on Palm Web Pro 3.5, if they don't have a Tungsten W??? o_town_racer 09-24-2004, 02:44 PM I just got my iQue working with my Nokia cell phone. I'm using the infrared port and having the PDA dial my BellSouth ISP. It's slow, but works in a pinch and it's easier to compose and read email on the PDA than on the phone. I can also browse and/or clip the web with AvantGo. I can browse with the phone as well, but it uses GPRS while I'm just burning minutes when using the IR and dial-up with the PDA. Not that I'll use it that much, but it is kind of cool getting all this tech to work together. PDA Street
